@Pedruid.
I don't understand why your stats are looking so poor.
All th elatest upgrades awere done in your area.
There should be no trace of congestion, yet that 3rd hop on your local trace route does not look good and neither does the ping tests results look good.

If I was you , I would present these figures to @TelkomZA on the Twitter account.

Edit:
Not sure about the red. Can't recall if mine was in red, don't think so.

I use Server 2008 / Win7 and if you type "Snipping Tool" in the search bar and you should find the tool.
Otherwise just Google and look for an app that can do a screen capture.
You can do it from your keyboard as well, but then you need to edit and crop the size most of the time.

Edit 2:
Were you referring to this?
Mine is obviously green. Were any of these red?

Hey Guys

I see this thread was pretty busy this weekend, and I'm sorry I wasn't able to answer.

I see that most of the posts, if not all, relate to shaping in the South and the East. We are definitely aware of the issue, and most of you will know that we have a standing order for additional capacity in both regions with Telkom since last year. We don't have an ETA for this just yet, but we're following up regularly via MTN to get some indication of when we might receive the additional IPC.

I know that for some this is now reaching urgent levels, but please know that we are working on this and pursuing this as extremely urgent.

If I missed any important posts on other topics, please PM me so I can make sure I get our guys on your queries. Otherwise I will also run through the 8 or so pages from this weekend and reply where I can :)

I think you may just be inciting people even more by posting this same bit of information over and over.

The fact that you're trying to resolve the issue is just not good enough at this stage. I can't pay half of my monthly account fee and say I'm trying to make a plan with the other half. Similarly, you can't provide everyone with part of the service and say you're trying to fix it.

I understand that these things take time, but you should also understand that your capacity issue isn't my (or any other customer's) problem. As far as the customer is concerned, all that matters is that it's fixed. What you need to do to get it fixed is none of my concern.

Having said that, I'll still always stick with AH. There isn't a better ISP in South Africa and I'm sure you guys will redeem yourselves SOON.

Thanks for the kudos on the new site. And no, the IPC for the South was not spent on the website. We ordered that last year. The new website has been in development for just over a year now :)

I totally agree that reading repetitive posts can be annoying and that definitely not our intention at the end of the day.

I also do think that there is only so much we can do from our side. Telkom is solely in control of IPC provisioning and delivery and there is no guaranteed lead time to delivery. We've seen IPC delivered in 6 weeks in some cases, but over 3 months in others. So we are also waiting for the solutions to be delivered, and I know that some other ISPs have publicly complained about this situation in some MyBB articles on this topic.

At the end of the day, I don't believe that going the press route is really helpful, we'll continue engaging with Telkom and pushing as hard as we can (with the weight of MTN behind us) to get the fastest turnaround we can on this.

I do need to respond to the queries we see here, so the information is going to be the same if the questions are essentially the same. So maybe we just need to accept the position that we're all in (and I promise I am in this situation with you) and try to help each other out as best we can until this all gets sorted out with Telkom.

That's the plan. Gian actually put a stop on new features to consolidate our features into ClientZone, but the problem our guys keep having these brilliant, must-have ideas.

I wish they'd stop ;)

No, on MWEB if I downloaded 1GB every day and then one day downloaded more than 4GB I would be throttled for the next 3-4 days with the internet unusable. Let's all just be patient and wait for the additional capacity in the south before we discuss the possibility of something as insane as throttling.

My understanding, the mweb throttling is based on a 30 day rolling period. If you're on the cusp and then do 4GB it'll push you over. Your usage may then mean it takes 3 days to get beck under that threshold. If you're cutting it that close you should get a higher threshold account.

Gotta say - I am absolooootely loving Afrihost.
And, I notice you welcomed with a new website - gee honored!! :D:D

No seriously, loving it at AH so far.;)
