I don't think we're confusing anything here. I just think the statement is incorrect, or if not it may help you to fix things. If all packets are treated equally in a contended bandwidth environment you'll have massive packet loss issues. There's still QoS applied on these packets. If you can't prioritise and deprioritise correctly you're going to be running an incredibly inefficient network, which I don't think you guys are aiming for. These packets are still identified and funneled into queues using various forms of QoS, even if they're unshaped. You've also got to manage the contention properly.We may be confusing general network management with more direct traffic management on certain protocols (similar to shaping). We don't prioritise any traffic on Business and Capped the same way we do for Uncapped for a smoother experience.
