We definitely don't shape Mumble. So if you are gaming and running Mumble, there should be no shaping acting on that traffic, even on a shaped profile. We've tested this on our side, but we'll definitely continue to test if more clients experiencing the same.

I'm assuming that, as previously, when you Turbocharge it goes away?

We have been shaping all along, just to a far lesser extent with decreased demand over the holidays.

Turbocharge and wait 10minutes, reboot router all works perfect. Switch to WebAfrica and perfect.

When no shaping is applied, perfect.

When shaping is active - goes to hell.

We'll test on our side and see if we can recreate this. Our last round of testing (just before the holidays) should Mumble and games running perfectly together even on a maximum shaped account :(

I want to add my voice to what Orihalcon is saying. I experience the same thing. With me, the game is SMITE or Star Trek Online. The voice chat is mumble.

We definitely offer both DSL services and Mobile Data (3G & LTE) in the Western Cape.

For DSL, you can check on Telkom's website (www.telkom.co.za/checkadsl) whether there is DSL service in your area and what the maximum speed could be.

Hi my man, thx for responding. The thing is I currently have a Promo5 contract which only expires end of March. Any chance of an upgrade before the expiry date perhaps?

Is this a Mobile or DSL contract you're currently on?

Having the same probs as Mephisto at the mom...tried setting up the new router last night and seems it can't verify the DNS authentication? I know Telkom had the same issues a while ago and am hoping it doesn't "spill" over onto other ISP's.

If you guys have sorted a prob like this one before in a different thread, apologies for that as I am a newbie here :)

Just ran over a few network checks, all looking good on our end.
Could you PM me your DSL username though? I'll gladly run through the logs and go through some options with you.
 
How does this work .......

Link just failed a few minutes ago: Pre that happening was in game with 280 ping (much happy), now it's 350+ after the link dropped. What gives?



P.S - my line didn't drop in any way, just the dial up to AH.
