my afrihost is effing off like a taxi driver in the emergency lane.
can't complain about speeds.

Nothing irritates me to the core of my being more than people driving in the emergency lane, that being said,
I'm glad your connection is running well. ;)
 
4mb line no shapping ang turbo charge activated and i only getting 160kbps max.... thats why i am getting pissed off...

Remember that turbocharge is a feature to remove shaping, so if you are not shaped I wouldn't expect it to have any effect on your experience.

What sort of overall test results were you seeing? Pings and traceroutes would be a good indicator.
 
Afrihost. You carry on staying Unshaped this much and I'm going to have to start singing your praises again. :)

Not sure if YouTube is affected, but we're seeing a few reports of degraded international throughput - our team are having this checked out.
 
Me too, afrihost is super slow this morning...... abnormally slow for capped...have 4 mb line and cant even watch a youtube vid and struggle on other sites as well...

We're aware of the queries coming through about international throughput, our team are having this looked into urgently.
 
Aye, YouTube struggling since last night and international packet loss. At least the knowledgeable chaps are aware though :)
 
Is there issues with the North today? I am only able to get about half my line speed, even though I am not shaped!
 
Just a quick update on the reduced international throughput, it's due to a link being down. We're routing traffic via failover links and managing the throughput as best we can. I'll update everyone once the link is functioning properly.
 
Any feedback yet as to when it may get resolved?

450+ ping is not so cool after a day of it

The link was restored late yesterday and traffic was rerouted and should be back to normal. You shouldn't be seeing increased ping now. Can you show me a new traceroute so I can check this out?
 
First time I've been shaped this month. I guess the dream had to end sometime! :cry:

Looks like everything is sorted on this side. I was getting full line speeds before the shaping. I will test out WoW real quick and see what the pings are like.

It's been a good run, the network looks quite busy this morning. I'm sure you'll see that unshaped goodness return later this evening though :)
