Have an alarming experience with regards to mail and how you setup your alias
One of my alias I have created on my mail seems to be the same as another persons. So if your recipient returns your mail under that alias it might not be received by you but by the other person with the same alias. Just had that experience and is now checking what privacy (if any) I sacrificed in the process. :wtf:

It shouldn't allow the same alias to be used, if I understand the system correctly. You have a core mailbox, but the alias should be unique to route to that mailbox.

Hi AfriPeople,

I'm currently on an uncapped 2Mbps account. Lately I've been shaped to 25% Download/ 6.5% P2P every day starting from before 6.00 AM till after midnight (maybe 24/7). This affects both my afrihost and afrigreen accounts. My monthly usage is typically about 60GB.

On Clientzone, the data statistics seem to be doubling my data usage for some reason, giving me a projected monthly usage of 125GB. Is this the reason for the shaping? I only use one account at a time.

Could you please look into this for me? Or maybe let me know how I can get shaped a bit less?

Is there any indication of when the bandwidth issues are going to be sorted out?

Will this just be an ongoing thing?

We're actively working on improving things, but seeing improvements across the board :)
Have you tested Afrigreen?
 
It's up and down across Steam, Skype, Youtube, browsing. It's fast in youtube, but dreadfully slow in skype, then everything just slows down, but Steam downloads at max.

I guess I just miss the consistent 3.6MB/s across all protocols.

Interesting to hear about issues regarding Skype. Is it constantly slow, or up and down like the other services you mentioned?
 
Very nice. Just got a business uncapped and so far so good - running at line speed ( 2MB ) and it is not yet 17h00.
