i'm sorry that happened in your case, truly. We should have handled that a lot better, and to ask you to phone Telkom is unacceptable!
Got the same 2 days ago. Line managed by afrihost completely dead so sent a mail to afrihost. This was the reply:

You will need a voice line technician to fix this fault, please contact telkom on 10210 and report this fault as soon as possible.

We do try and address and follow up all faults, but voice line maintenance and ADSL maintenance are completely separate departments, and we are not permitted by Telkom to log faults with the voice line departments. My experience is that if you log it online (You need to register first which takes a while), it goes pretty fast. There are a lot more technicians than for ADSL.

Got it thanks. ADSL line stops working = voice line fault so gotta go to Telkom directly.
BUT I finally found the combination that is causing it, or so far it seems to be.
Ingame vsync on.
Now I turned this on because I was getting stuttering as soon as I hold down lmb or rmb. However when I force vsync on from display driver it is fine and no DCs yet.
We have some problems now, that much is evident. But our track record shows that we are the best team in the country to pull the rabbit out of the hat, and make the internet more awesome.
We've only sold ADSL for three years, and won ISP of the Year for the last two of those. We're definitely on the right track, we might have growing pains, but when the dust settles, it's going to be milk and honey for Afrihost clients![]()
