Well excluding my sarcastic comments, I have had not any problems with Afrihost at all this weekend. Except for last night when I could authenticate for a few minutes. I have downloading 24/7 since friday morning and it has been going full tilt on my 1mb line. NZB and torrents.

havent had issues since last sunday but today they are off, cos a local vs international tracert is so vastly different.. even speedtest is having issues loading, modem turned on and off.. system rebooted... but the same

Just posted my traceroute.

I think that 2hop of yours points to possible exchange problem.

It's the 19th already, only a couple days left till deadline. And still no sign of a CPT IPC or any better connection at all. Gaming on US servers turned into a crashfest again. How long is this supposed to go on? Will AfriMan tell us on the 25th that there will be a slight delay up to May or June?
This is so frustrating.

Yep agree when we gonna get the CT IPC ? I still use a account from Plugg from my son too play on the EU servers and what with him playing for Mind Sports SA in ClanBase the afrihost ping is shocking too say the least.

I don't expect there will be any delays, we've got the big boys at MTN putting pressure on Telkom. I don't think pressure comes in bigger forms :)

As far as I am told, everything is on track for the 25th. Remember that there will still be all kinds of testing and quality assurance by ourselves and MTN - we want to make sure that when we go live on the 25th we deliver on what is expected in terms of stability and speeds.

huh? You make it sound like filling a swimming pool, "Ah see the water is coming out the tap, something is happening, I am getting wet!" No, more like a light switch all dark until someone throws the switch.

So... you give an entire account of how exactly you, I would assume, went against the Terms and Conditions you agreed to when you signed up for the service?

Odd course of action, but OK...

Thats an interesting idea. I dont know if it is against the TOC or not, since I have never read them before. I would imagine, that they only enact upon offenders abusing the network, rather than users attempting to get a service, since their shaping policies do not work correctly. I would argue that they did not provide a service that was similar to advertised when purchasing the service if it came to that, and hopefully one could make a case that the since an advertised service was not provided any breach in contract was initially from the providers side. Im not sure what difference it would make really, since if Afrihost ended my contract, I would just sign up to a new ISP, its not like I am facing jailtime :)
