Great speeds at 1 in the afternoon! (No, I am not joking)
On a 2mb line, 225kpbs!

Sounds like all is good in the South? Great to hear. We're still fine tuning and refining, but for the most part IPC is performing well.

From what we can see the IPC is doing well, in fact now that we've sorted the throughput issue, shaping is pretty light and we getting good reports on real time and downloads. Our own throughput tests from Cape Town are looking very stable. Some clients are getting a marginal increase in ping, but it looks like it's about 10-20ms max, so should not have any real effects.

Any other issues?

:)

So, it seems that the Cape Town IPC is now available? Can anyone confirm this? Have you noticed an improvement in your ping to the USA if so?

I ask because if the ping to the NA WoT server is superior to the 250ms I'm getting on OpenWeb right now then I'll make the jump to afrihost :-)

Yes things is nice now!!!!!!

What is the IP then I can run a trace for you?

Huge improvements down south. Even my torrents are peaking at full line speed during office hours.

I just find that YouTube 720p and 1080p on my 10mbps line is buffering very much, not smooth anymore like it used to be.

Thanks, can you please do a traceroute on wotus1-slave-119.worldoftanks.com

With OpenWeb I get a ping between 250ms and 300ms generally. I'd love to know if Afrihost is now at that level. I was on Axxess during the "Bad Time" and my ping to that server was awful, anywhere between 300ms and 500ms, which is why I switched to OpenWeb...

Of course to the EU servers it is way under 200ms, why do you connect on American servers and not Europe?
Are the servers not interlinked, so you can play on any server?
I am not really a "gamer" so never looked into this.

The servers are not linked and I signed up on the NA server so all my game progress is there :-)
