As you can see, HUGE difference with a capped account. This is definitely not my line.

My 4Mbps uncapped running at 200kbps during the day.

It's clear as daylight guys, they are throttling the accounts during business hours. At exactly 17:00 I will be back at 430kbps.

I used to be with OpenWeb and they used to do exactly the same. Stop stressing, there is nothing wrong with your line

speedtest.net doesn't even load.

I eat my words! My Internet is also playing up this evening! Speeds between 200 - 280kbps. Speeds shoot up to 400kbps then drop down and hover around 250kbps. Sometime speedtest won't even run.

Afriman what is going on?

On 40GB for the month on a 4Mbps line so I doubt I'm being throttled.

I am on a 2Mbit line. Speed varies. One moment its full throttle, the next you cant even get on FB.

Also at 40Gb (38Gb to precise) for the month.

Ive been getting half speeds since Sunday. 2Mbps line and I've only done 9GB this month.
Emailed support and they reset my port but it only worked a bit better for like 10 minutes before getting crappy speeds again.
Glad im not the only one with issues. I wanted to test another ISP account but seems Afrihost has locked me to their network cos I moved my line to them(Which im starting to regret)

My 4Mb also seems slow tonight. Half of what it usually runs at. Drops and picks up. Annoying. (cpt) (also 40gb)

We don't lock lines onto our network. You can use any ISP account on your line, even if your line has been bundled.

We are aware that there is a general speed issue on uncapped. While it does not affect all clients, we have noted the comments on this and a few other threads and we are looking into this with IS. We know this is frustrating, but please be assured we are putting every resource in getting to the root of the problem.

Please also be assured that we are very close to our proposed network change. With double the IPC capacity, we expect that these congestion issues will be a thing of the past. You can take it from me that initial testing is going extremely well, and as soon as I have the go ahead I will be posting more info and results here on MyBB.
