Just received an email saying my account will be moved to MTN on the 16th of October.
Hopefully this will sort this speed issues out.
Holding thumbs.

@AfriMan - are 4MB Uncapped accounts being moved to MTN? If yes.. I will seriously consider migrating back to Afrihost from MWEB

Yeah, well my uncapped 4mbps account in Cape Town is slower than 56k dial up and has been for most of the week, so I truly hope you're right. I don't really care what you do in the background with MTN/IS or whoever/whatever but all I can say is I once was a happy customer but I'm rapidly losing that joy...
We are just a fraction of a polony skin away from awesomeness!
Yes, all ADSL accounts except for those directly on IS will be moved.
What about the free gig accounts?
My Free Gig is running at full speed, it is just the uncapped accounts that is slow, but as Afriman said "All accounts will move to MTN"
Well that's good then - don't care if it's full speed, if it's IS im not interested, would just be nice to check the traceroutes etc. using the free gig as a test before I jump the MWEB ship (of course pending the response from users on mybb wrt speeds)
I'll fire up my test MTN account and do some traceroutes tonight. Please let me know what addresses you want me to trace to.
My account was just plain dead for the most part of last night. It worked when I got home, and just before 7 the link went down. Later the evening just before I went to bed, it was still dead. This morning before I left home it was on again but didn't check speeds though, will check tonight. Hopefully I can use this something I'm paying R700 a month for tonight.
Ahhh, bless! Time to change your nappy.Man up to your companies promises/statements or get get another job wee fella. I do not want to say any more on this matter. This denigrates from the specific issue which is a failure of service. I am done with your company as I said in the initial statement. Nuff said.
In another very close contest, Afrihost won the 2012 ISP of the year award ahead of rivals MWEB and Web Africa.
