I suspect a link or something between CPT and JHB is down or congested

I've logged this with the network guys. As to whether there is a link down, I don't have any confirmation as such, so we'll have to see what the clever people have to say about this. Please keep posting your traceroutes here, or PM them to me, so we can pick up any useful information to help us find the issue.

I'm picking up mostly Cape Town users having this issue. Anyone in Gauteng or Durban having issues?

Not having too much issue with youtube, but gaming is a pain at the moment. Constant lag spikes and time outs.

So? When will the problem be resolved?
 
Higher than normal latency on both uncapped and capped to league of legends EU West server. Very spikey as well.

We're still testing on our side, it's not clear what the issue might be. Some of the traceroutes I've received all look very different, so it's difficult to diagnose. Our guys are working on it and I'm waiting on more info.

Sorry guys, I know a Saturday night is the worst time for the internet to misbehave :(
 
WTF is going on with Afrihost today? I cant even stream a Youtube video??

I am constantly raving about how awesome Afrihost is, and telling everyone at work that they are wrong about Afrihost being the worst ISP, but this constant battle to have working internet on weekends when I am actually AT home, is seriously starting to make me question if Afrihost really is worth the trouble.
