Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Telkom are still reporting some issues where ADSL is not functioning properly. We're not sure when the issue will be completely resolved or how many clients are currently affected. We're doing everything we can from our side to get everyone back online.

So Telkom needs to send a technician to exchange, does no one have contacts in the claremont area for adsl
 
Did that and had Telkom try it

I'm in the CT Kenilworth area here Internet is so soooo slow. I've logged fault number 5 in 2months with Telkom. Latency is all over 1000ms+ on local.
Telkom technical support is a joke I'll be surprised if 5% of them are even a little computer literate. They'll always conduct investigations the same. First they'll blame your ISP,router,splitter in that order then they "Reset your port" that's it they can't do anything else Telkom doesn't give them any other tools. Let's face it there unskilled personal getting paid peanuts

jeanres, you always seem to be having problems....

Anyway, a few of my friends lines were not working, but this was because telkom managed to fry a few network cards at their local Exchange while the thousands of authentications were coming through, maybe the same applies to you?

I have had one issue, this is the only one.

We're seeing a few clients still disconnected since Friday, and it seems to be part of the general outage fallout from their network issue. The outage seems to be at exchange level, not line level, though it's hard to make general statements when Telkom have still not made an official statement.

The benefit of having your line with us is that we do everything we can without you having to contact Telkom. Where I've seen Telkom managed clients having similar issues, some are being told their issues range from their routers to their ISP, even though we know the clients can't authenticate on any DSL account. I personally believe that even when the information is not what you'd like to hear, it's better to get solid info that be sent back and forth between service providers :(

HEY!!!!! Don't pick on me, I have no problems at all, I am as happy as a pig in **** using AH Business.
The only time I report here is if there is an all round general error/outage for comparison, and fault finding for others.

But generally my ADSL runs perfect since my exchange port was swapped about 3 months ago.
