So far it seems good overall, no changes in the status quo.

One would reasonably presume that within the SLA that Afrihost has (foolish if they have not got one) with IS there will be a performance clause which will allow them some form of recompense. It would be reasonable to accept that any honest, forthright company with integrity would thus compensate the clients who have been affected by this.

Thanks now we know why IS is battling :D

I'm only on 83GB on a 4mb line. Think I've got some catching up to do this weekend.... If only IS could pull finger

Download Speed: 961 kbps (120.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 54 kbps (6.8 KB/sec transfer rate)

Latency: 479 ms
 
Hmmm Okay I will not even say, how much money I lost in the last week, I must show each and every client, who want updates or driver Downloads, the door way!!!! I am loosing money money. And at the end of the month, what must I do? STILL PAY MY AFRIHOST FULL AMOUNT!!! Getting Fed Up now Really, how come some people have better speeds and other struggle, if the problem is on the infrastructure? Look I never ever had anything better in the last week http://www.speedtest.net/result/2207965138.png
 
10Mbps line, they are throttling the SH*t out of it, around midnight the throttling stops I notice.



This on my FNB backup account few minutes later.

IS has insufficient IPC capacity...

Have we ascertained whether there is throttling by Afrihost or whether the problems are merely symptoms of congestion?

Because I'd imagine it depends on which particular IPC connections you need to get through to reach the international links or the peering points?

The throttling is done by IS to keep the latency and responsiveness in check, all ISP on IS network are suffering according to the statement IS released yesterday.
So I guess the more ppl that are on there network the more they throttle to keep things stable, around midnight the usage drops of and the throttling is relaxed.
