Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback

R997 for 10mb uncapped and then R413 for line rental?

Bundle it bud. R897 all in.
 
Other than pings that are similar to those when using 3G, the MTN DSL accounts are pretty good when it comes to reaching line speed from my limited experience.

Pity that Axxess is taking so long to change their customers over (https://www.axxess.co.za/networkmove_10-10-2012.php) I guess the true test of how the network is coping will come when Axxess's users are all across as well as Afri.

@Afriman - what capacity is the network running at currently? It was 60% yesterday if I recall correctly.. and that's without any of the Axxess uncapped users.

At the moment we are around 70% thereabouts - that's with Afrihost and Axxess. I could be wrong so don't quote me, I don't have up to the minute stats, but that's where it was the last time I was updated :)

If you're @ around 70% without any Axxess uncapped subscribers at all - isn't that a bad sign?

I assume it is also running at 70% in Jhb, but 0% in Durban and Cape Town... So when they start routing correctly, I'm sure it will lower the requirements in Jhb

The majority of Axxess uncapped users are on the axxess-express.2 realm, the axxess-express uncapped accounts are the old accounts they used to have that were throttled during the day and full line speed at night.

@Afriman - are the rage trial accounts and the uncapped accounts on the same prioritising/shaping/etc. realm? Or are they different to the normal uncappeds?
 
Ok so complained about poor speeds.
Now instead of 10 mb i've been downgraded to 8 mb.

Am I missing something ?

Yoh yoh yoh. 145ms ping time to Cpt server.... @afriman, please tell the network guys they're killing us ded.
 
since the upgrade my international, suck cannot open pages i opened before..... Keeps timing out.
