Yeah all good for local crap but try playing on the EU servers what a joke :( damm guys get it done already .Stuff fakebook and all that crap get the gaming going ping 250+ and then 350 its not worth it :( tried a mates mweb account and its much better dunno think im gonna go with them less stress lol when gaming.

Wow, you aren't kidding about Diablo 3... Latency is 1600ms. Unplayable.

This is the first real issue I've had so far. Hopefully there's an explanation.

Call me insane, but does that actually do ADSL?

hopefully not. i have had enough of all in one routers.

i replaced my billions (7402NX and 7402GX) with D Link 2500u (R 235.00) and an ASUS Black Diamond RT-N56U wireless router. (R 1 250.00). still less than the 7402NX (over 2k)

my wireless and adsl has never ever been more stable. dual band so stream to my tvs over 5ghz and all other devices use 2.4ghz.

fantastic really.

only wish i had seen that cisco one earlier...

was very impressed by the speeds yesterday, keep it up afrihost! very happy customer here :D

Hey Guys

I see a lot of positive feedback on the new network, but also a lot of adjustments to be made. Please bear with us, this is a brand new network being set up literally from scratch, there are going to be unforseen issues which we will look into immediately.

By far this biggest issue I am noticing is high pings, and latency for Cape Town users. We know there is an issue there, and as I explained, MTN has IPC in Cape Town, we're just trying to get things settled in a controlled environment close to home before we engage that. Emails and phone calls are flying around here at AfriHQ to look at how quickly we can do this, so I am personally confident that it will be fairly soon.

I was replying to your PM's last night until my router decided to die! He was a good router, but that last Linux distro just took it's toll :(

Will get to all your messages during the course of the day :)

This is day 3 after the migration and things should start to settle down. Performance are very good and probably even better in terms of download/upload. But for the guys in Cape Town the latency is a killer. We need to know when you will activate Cape Town IPC? I am very happy Afrihost and certainly want to stay but this needs to be addressed very soon!

Keep up the good work!

I am well impressed so far with performance. My CS is ping in game is now 10MS, which is ridiculous. I used to sit around 80 odd. To date YouTube vids stream without a hitch.

Goof work Afrihost!
