Things are pretty awful right now. I seem to be throttled to around 1.2mbps. When I start nntp, my google.co.za http load times go from 400ms to 3-5 seconds. QoS she is NOT working.
And it's not a bottleneck anywhere:

On a compeltely seperate topic, I had my voice and data line go down last night. When it came back up this morning the line is now syncing at 3mb instead of 4mb. That sucks... Line is with Afrihost so I reset it on the clientzone - same thing

Anyone had something like this before?

EDIT: Tried the port reset again and it worked. Line now syncing at 4096k.

Speedtest is still not pretty though :(

I also have that my connection goes completely dead in the early morning hours. Also, I am being shaped 24/7. I don't know what is up with this. Atleast with IS, they didn't shape you after 12. I thought they had so much more capacity when they switched, now it is just getting pathetic. At the moment, I am not recommending anyone to jump onto Afrihost.

Where is all the promises Afrihost, at the moment the IS network was vastly superior. They should really fix this crap. Almost seems like they only went to MTN to make more money and to not care about the service they offer customers. Yeah, most ISPs have hickups when they switch to uncap, but not going downhill everyday. It seems like you don't have enough capacity. Looks like the things that happened with WA, when they promised they had more than enough capacity.

Same, back to 1mb.

@Afriman.. Why should I pay you guys R397 this month for a 4mb service that is not being delivered correctly?
