All connections to Youtube, http, ALL DEAD tonight, dial up speed here in PE for me.
The account was perfect fromThursday last week but now it is 1/10th line speed as weel for me.

Geez, how did you get such a fast speed? I'm getting 4.7 KB/s on a 10MB business uncapped line ... which seriously sucks. Even worse, 2 1.4 GB downloads which were both busy for most of the day, died unceremoniously ... lucky it's an uncapped account or I'd be even more fed up ....

Didn't see anything on their Notices page ... can't believe they're unaware....

And here I thought those business accounts would fly like the wind. was even thinking about getting one.

This works really well for me guys. If you have a twitter account go and tell them about the problems and notify them of this thread. They respond rather quickly normally!

The site says "Network Fully Operational" with a green dot next to it. I dunno what you guys are complaining about.

I know you guys are usually joking about Linux ISOs, but... I found a way to semi-beat the ****ty 1/16th line speed throttling that's going on, and managed to download a 250MB actual Linux ISO in "just" 3 hours.

10mb uncapped, Durban

Everything pretty much at full line speed (NNTP, browsing, YouTube, speedtest.net etc..) :)

Holy crap, this is some ridiculously negative feedback. I was looking at coming back on board after a few months' hiatus, as AH have the cheapest 10mb uncapped - but damn. I haven't experienced the new MTN backbone yet, and now I'm not sure I want to. Afriman - do you still not do test accounts? Or do you perhaps have that first month half-off offer still going?

I moved from Wazzup 1mb Uncapped to Afrihost's 2mb Uncapped. The Afrihost sign up process was super quick, all sorted in about 1 hour. My line was even activated again.

Though I'm still on a 1mb line, Afrihost is going to convert it to 2mb.

Im not so sure if they still have those test accounts. But here is a link for 50% off on your first month:
