Yesterday I couldn't stream anything from grooveshark. Today I can't even fully load the page. Looks like Mweb has my money from the new year again.

Why not try Openweb Im with them and so far so good, like Afrihost was some time back

I wonder why AH never scores above 1.3Mbps

AH:

Mweb:

so all week International pings have been under 240ms and D/L speed under 1Mbps... now that its weekend it should be better but alas, latency shoots up and D/L speeds improve... confused :confused::confused::confused::wtf::wtf::wtf:

Ai. There goes my evening. Trying to download a 1.6GB file from Microsoft for work, but both uncapped 4Mb and capped 4Mb will take 7+ hours to download.

Non-afrihost account will take 1 hour... but it's 1GB test account... file is 1.6GB.

I posted a link to testmy.net with a description of what it does on their facebook page so people could accurately check what speeds they download at. I saw it got deleted very quickly. I wonder why :/

I posted my speedtests there 3+ times a day at the beginning and have now been banned from their FB page altogether - was told I was bordering on been abusive to the brand and I wasn't responding to the contact requests from them... but hey no response to my posts meant reposting till i got one... with Afriman, its one post and a response from support.. go figure (maybe FB was to public, whereas myBB isn't as public)

Well, you were spamming their FB page, so banning you makes sense. You should have just PM'd Afriman from the start.

on a brighter note tho, all seems good again, latency back down, pages loading, wife can access her stuff on the net... all good there

Yesterday download speeds were fine, this morning we're back to dialup speeds (on a 10 Mb/s line) ... something's wrong again.

Today is the first time in about 2 months that I'm using my 10mb uncapped on a Saturday. Getting 70kB/s on Torrents. It's rediculous.

What happened to shaping during office hours? Or do Afrihost shape Torrents 24/7???

so it seems i have been managed so much that my http download speeds on a 4meg line are around 50kB/s.

nah i'm done with this for the moment. i'll come back in feb after the supposed upgrades to see what people are experiencing then.

I was downloading from Astraweb at up to 600k today on Mweb 4Mbps. Just saying.

Nntp doing wun mega byte per second right now. (seems telkom pulled finger and upgraded my dslam)

Had my Afrihost business uncapped 1Mbps account for just over a week now, moved about 30 gigs, getting normal speeds during business hours and after, everyday so far.

whats up now... everything was swimming and at 1800 D/L went for a ball and latency urghhhh well up 155ms????
surel at 1800 in the afternoon it should be better??? esp on the weekend

This packet loss is really starting to piss me off. Always on weekends.
