so it seems i have been managed so much that my http download speeds on a 4meg line are around 50kB/s.

nah i'm done with this for the moment. i'll come back in feb after the supposed upgrades to see what people are experiencing then.

seeing as i came from openweb gold, will give the business package a try for this month by upgrading. will throw in the cancellation before 25th. and then decide if i will continue with the business or go back to openweb gold.

Downloads are flying, becoz ppl are leaving Afrihost, but im staying..... no matter what. I did +-105Gb last month even with slow speeds and it was my 1st time going over 100Gb. 4mb account. Afihost you should start selling 6mb account and 8mb account....

Edit: But last nyt speeds where bad, on a 4mb account download at 20kb/s and sometimes 7kb/s... it was sad. I wanted to .

And today I need to download a 3.5MB PDF. It is so slow that I can easily log in here, start writing a complaint, then go make coffee, come back, finish my complaint and I still have to sit and wait for the PDF to finish downloading.

I'm also going no where. I'll stay with Afrihost until I can't use the internet at all. So far they've just been good to me. And yes, I'm still getting terrible speeds most of the time but at least I don't have to pay anything until March 2013.

So I will be testing / using the Afrihost Account to see if it improves. Not going to use it for at least 4 weeks anyway.

Well , I am getting bad patches at the moment, BUT I am still doing an average of 4+GB per day, so I will stick it out and see how things are by the 20th... If it doesn't get better I will move my data away and keep my line with them, as it would then be easy to move back to them once they have their issues sorted.
I do still believe in their potential.
