This is NOT an uncapped account. 4mbps ADSL line - 25GB DSL Package.

Ok, it's really bad right now. Download speed half what it's supposed to be.
/me stops whistling in the scary dark cellar and gets sick from fear.

We are all in the same boat, my 6Mbs Business ADSL received a consistent 1Mbs the whole day, I am still trying to stay positive and that it is going to be fixed today. Hopefully tomorrow is better. It is very frustrating but I am trying my dam-nest to control the frustration. I feel really sorry for the Business users who need to transfer large volumes of data and struggle as a result of this IPC problem.

Also getting very frustrated by now, I work from home, I have on purpose a 100GB capped account and don't rely on Uncapped for work.
Capped is suppose to be un-shaped and un-throttled.
I have to download large files and this is getting beyond frustrating now, this is not the performance I expect from a Capped service!

Afrihost too MTN

WebAfrica moved to IS today, and this is the result of a Capped Account, they working on the latency it should be 15-20ms less

Best ever D3 latency this evening. I saw 181ms on the EU server :D

1900 and a snail glides faster

It is now properly fnuked. Facebook not all images load. Connect with my Free 1GB account and everything is fast and furious. Connect with my 6Gbs Business ADSL account and it is broken. Aaaarrrggggh. Breath in, breath out. And relax. Aaaaaarrrgghhh :-)

AfriMan, any idea how long? At the moment it is useless even for browsing.

Update: Even my http://www.engadget.com/ site loads without images on my 6Gbs Business ADSL account.

Update 1of 3

Ok...I went and got an 2Mbps uncapped Gold test account with OW.

I have done the following test midday today and it doesn't look good - for both accounts AH and OW. In fact they look very similar. I hope this helps the folks at AH to sort the problems faster and i don't care anymore if it upsets anyone or not.

Both test were done with straight connection to the tel. line and 2 different routers on my 2Mbps ADSL line.

First my 2Mbps uncapped with AH. (Billion 400 router)

Update 3 of 3

Here's the 2 traces from both accounts

First AH:

Second the OW test account:

While it is almost clear that Telkom is not providing what they should...it is interesting to see that both accounts have miserable international speed.
Does anyone know why? The Gurus around here?
(and what I can do to fix my rubbish internet connectivity once and for all)
Thanks for looking in to it guys.

Before I forget: both tests are done with the same PC too.
Main complaint: international sucks and the line feels choppy during live video streams and such, it goes high then slowly dies to 0bps and then high again to just drop back down 0 in a few moments.

Afrihost still sucking here also.
Edit: I mean international obv.

That was my thoughts initially....
but using one of the supposedly best 2Mb accounts around for comparison - proves it wrong.
So it's either telkom restricting somehow international :erm:
or both backhauls are crappy this month :erm:
or the talibans are placing bombs undersea on both cables ;)
or is a global conspiracy against SA traffic internationally

Hi guys. Afriman did advise in a previous post that they are working on the problem. Its a new IPC, it's just a matter of time until they find the cause and resolve the matter.
