And? Afrihost sends some people a sms to say there is a network problem. There is a notice on Afrihost main page. There is umpteen messages here to say there is a network problem. So......... what is the point of your "tests"?

thay have also said that they have routed the traffic via the JHB IPC again but the speeds and latency dont seem to reflect that. Even before we got the IPC in CPT latency was always better than 600+ always around 230ms...
So yes this is even worse than Dec/Jan...

@AH - please please please

I'm having a weird situation here in Durban, and I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same issue? When I do a speedtest to MTN Joburg, the pings are faster than MTN Durban?!?!? Am I the only one experiencing this? Surely wit the new IPC I should get faster pings to anywhere in Durban than Johannesburg? :/

@Afriman - Are you aware of this?

Here's a traceroot to the news24 website (I think). hop 10 looks suspicious to me...

@Afriman - Are you aware of this?

We are not aware of issues with Durban, IPC looks stable and performing well. Please drop us a traceroute so we can analyze what might be happening :(

At the moment, we know that Telkom is still working on the issue. What I can say is the network is coping with the rerouted traffic, though pings are not ideal for CT based clients.

MTN are working with Telkom to ensure that routing paths are restored as soon as the issue is resolved. We'll give you guys an update as soon as we know anything.

speedtest 8 mar.JPG

speedtest taken now. on the mybb speedtest the results are even worst. d/l speed of 0,10Mbps and ping of 650ms

And here I was looking forward to renting a movie online tonight and sitting back and relaxing. Not to be Afrihost :mad:

How is this defined as the "network coping" - 10 meg line synching at 10 meg:
