Afrihost - Useless, beware when you wan to cancel

Ill keep this short and sweet - just waned to warn others:

20/12/2018 - put in a request to cancel my fibre via clientzone - done

20/12/2018 - just to make 100% certain, I chat to one of their whatsapp support people. Consultant confirms last day of service is 31/12/2018

3/1/2019 - Afrihist debit order goes off for fibre. Raise this with a whatsapp support. They tell me to phone, they cant help me. Upon phoning I got greeted by "your call will be answered in 30min", so I put the phone down. Finally get through to their call centre. Whoops, it was indeed an error. Dont worry, we will credit your account. It will only take 14 working days to get your money back that we took because we made a mistake. WTF :mad:

I’m surprised they allowed you to cancel without the mandatory 30 days notice.

It sounds like this has been nothing short of frustrating Tman, I am really sorry about this. There was an issue with billing last month, please drop me a PM and I will chat to accounts right away for you.
