Mine is broken too tonight :-(SABnzb - tried again just now - slow (20-30KB/s) initially, but at least working, and then slowed to a crawl (probably uncached content and low Int bandwidth?) - thank you for "fixing" something somewhere through...
Could not receive data on socket from news.afrihost.com: Error 10060 - A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
I'm using .co.za and not .comI am using Afrihost account and trying to use the newsserver:
host: news.afrihost.com
port: 119
connections: 3
Getting this error:
I'm using news.afrihost.co.za and running at less than 10 bytes per second...I'm using .co.za and not .com
Maybe try that?
Same on my side - setup fine in SABNzbd and the test connection button passes but if I download the SABNzbd test file I get a timeout and it switches to one of my third party block Usenet suppliers:View attachment 1671387
Note that it has been working fine for a long time. Just noticed recently that I am no longer getting much from the afrihost news server.
That worked a bit better, but like other comments it is slow. Thanks anywayI'm using .co.za and not .com
Maybe try that?

It's not working. I will swing by Teraco to see what is going on. The losses are causing some serious TCP retransmits which is why it's super slow.
