Afrihost users suffering slow ADSL

No kidding.

Trying to install Chrome and it tells me it is going to take 20 minutes on a 8Mb/s line. :(

My speeds have just picked up 40%, so no complaints here. At least usable.
If everything was perfect what a boring life we would lead.
Maybe this is a sign for all to go out for a hour or two and enjoy the real world, I know I am.
And on your return, It may be fixed and you will have a few less grey hair coming your way. :whistle:
 
At least AH is acknowledging that there's a problem, not just handing out new accounts to everyone.
 
We are doing our best to sort this out as quickly as possible. At this point we don't know whether the issue is on the IPC itself, which is Telkom's hardware, or within the MTN network. As soon as we have more info we'll let all our clients know :(

I live in Cape Town and the issues you are describing have been happening to me the whole day, so the issue definitely not just affecting "Northern" clients! Are there any other Cape Town Afrihost clients who had a slow connection today?

Cape Town did see an issue earlier this morning, however this was resolved.

It seems to be fine now, thanks anyway though. Didn't really affect me much, but just wanted to point that it wasn't just the north that had problems.
 
I thought I was just overly sensitive about the speeds being tardy, but at least I know (regretfully) that is isn't my imagination... :(

Yes. sorted out after I rebooted and AH reset my port.
