Browsing on Afrihost has been very slow today. Anybody else experiencing the same problem ?
Not my line as I have an account with Webafrica and that is fine.

Yep, it's horribly slow for me too. And yesterday I was still on my Telkom cap, which had just been bumped to 10 megabits. So this feels *very* slow...

Slow as well and you right cant be the line switched on 5 diff ISP's. Wonder what the problem was?

Latency with Afrihost

I'm on a capped account since I have no need for Uncapped. Have been downloading a Steam game at about 860Kb/s since my line has been upped to 8MB. No issues thats for sure.

Results of my speedtest on a 10mb line - Afrihost

I've been on a 4mb Uncapped line with Afrihost for a while now, but it seems to be getting worse each month. When I joined, I would be getting dl speeds of around 300 - 400 kb/s. These days I'm lucky if I get anywhere close to 50 kb/s. Total BS! And that's below 50gb / month. Then that new policy came in where they said they would be shaping us on a daily basis depending on amounts of data moved that day and that it would reset every day. Yeah right! I can start a download after 00:00 and still get the same useless speeds. Even at the start of a month. Have cancelled my account with them.

Any good suggestions as to which provider I should try next? What's the point of having a 4mb line when I get 128kb speeds??

I am also having terrible speeds, and my line is also a 10mb now. Is there an Afrihost representative that we can speak to here?
