Afrihost Vodacom Fixed 5G thread

My Vodacom connection is completely dead this morning, not even a reboot helps... WTF did Vodacom do last night?

When I login to the router it shows that it's only picking up 3G and refuses to connect, never had an issue (with signal) in the last +-2 months of service, definitely have coverage, maybe they messed up the highsite or something, who knows.

Really feels like I've wasted money getting this service to be honest, constant issues, below-average speeds, CGNAT, etc. Unfortunately stuck with it because I took the damn router and would have to pay for the thing if I cancel now. :mad:
 
I went to speak to Afrihost support, but there was this message.

Update - It finally picked up 4G+ now and connected, but throughput is basically zero, cannot even perform a speedtest and websites just times out, so still issues even though there is a connection now at least.

Did the maintenance scheduled for last night help anyone? Mine is, if anything, worse than before. Will speak to support again later today when I get a chance.

Yes 100% I am completely down just going to cancel this 4 days of downtime
