As I understand it - Afrihost charges R29 per gig and for example R145 for the 5 gig package - which is in effect R58 per gig. Am I correct?

I think Galahad may be a little tipsy already.... get off your computer, Dude! Never post drunk! You'll regret it in the morning. ha ha ;)

Mmm and check your eyes in the new year...you posted this OP in my profile page too... :D

It's just R145 for 5 gigs. that makes it so many dots ...................... times so many ..... which gives so many .............................................................................................................................. ;)

You are totally misunderstanding.....

You can get 1Gb for R29 OR 5Gbs for R145.... or any amount in between or higher... all at R29 per Gig!

Noooo.... we could have gone on a bit longer and had a bit more fun with him ;)

why do you say that?

Yes I did.

He asked why, not whether or not.

R29 per gig + R145 for 5 gig package = R58 per gig. The R145 only entitles one to 660.645MB

Depending on when in the month you signed up, Afrihost charges you pro-rata and gives you the pro-rata usage amount (i.e. they don't charge you the full R145 (R145/5GB=R29 per gig) or give you the full 5GBs).

Perhaps someone else can explain it better.

However, if you're saying that you bought a 5GB account in the middle of the month and they charged you the full R145 and only gave you 600MB, then that's a different story.

R29 per gig + R145 for 5 gig package = R58 per gig. The R145 only entitles one to 660.645MB

BUT, they call it a "gig"...so you bought what is described as a gig...thus, at R29 "each"... :D

According to my Invoices from them that isn't correct.

Yep. You're correct.

Noooo.... we could have gone on a bit longer and had a bit more fun with him ;)

's havin' fun wit us... :D
