with the speeds that i have been having trying to download the IE10 so i can use the clientzone but alas that is going to take the rest of my natural life

Oh My.... They have issues with downloads but spend time in redeveloping the client zone.... and the same issue persists. :-(

and support requests go unanswered anyway so I can't see how a new way to go unanswered will benefit us in anyway.
 
New Clientzone...very nice...but with the greatest respect AH, this should not have been your priority! Right now your number1 priority should and must be to deliver a better Internet connection to your customers to the level we previously had!! From all the posts I've read this is what they asking were and hoping for..not a new Clientzone!! this is not going to improve your customer connectivity and surfing experience!!

I doubt the developers can do anything about the bad connectivity... No use shutting down everything until they fix the other issues?
I moved to openweb today because of their bad connectivity.
 
Should change the thread name to "Afrihost's big disappointment" :erm:

Frankly its like covering up a head wound with a new hat. Glad I'm done with all this by end of next week

you know, I've gone out of my way to be positive and support you guys through the MTN transition, but I don't appreciate some snarky comment about terminally negative people who don't have minds to be blown, when you make a big announcement about something as minor as a new client zone and then the bloody thing crashes as soon as I tried to use it. If you want to keep using your entire client base as beta testers for your products I suggest you tell us, otherwise I might start seriously thinking about taking my business elsewhere

Sorry, that was directed at a specific post by someone who's been trolling our threads and posting negative comments about us, even though we, other forumites and MyBB have asked him not to.

Apologies to anyone who thought that was a put down for anyone except who it was intended for :(
 
:/ Nice new client zone, but it's not something that you had to spam about. I had like 10 facebook messages pop up in my news feed during that hour about "x time to go before the BIG announcement" - but it's simply not that big of an announcement, SO if you didn't expect this sort of negative flack, or your marketing dept. hasn't learned something about being more selective about what to spam about, then you're doing it wrong and will have similar reactions from people in future. This is the sort of thing that would have merited a single facebook post "Afrihost is proud to announce our new client zone" rather than "in 2 hours our massive announcement!" x 100 every 10 minutes -- "Get glued to your monitors and have your mouths drooling for the next 2 hours".

If you want to build up so much consumer attention, you've got to have something valuable at the end to show for it, or of course they will be disappointed. Yes the new client zone is that much easier or prettier too use, but hardly any more 'value' than adding another megabyte to a 100GB cap. Simply not the way to do it: with power comes responsibility - use it wisely or lose it.
