After PC format

Ok, so I had to format my PC, installed windows 7 and itunes from scratch, only question I've got now, whats going to happen when I connect my iphone? Lose all my contacts and apps?

I don't have an iPhone but I doubt you will lose your data and apps. One must think of what would happen if they use their phone on a different system (for example their laptop instead of their desktop).

Don't take my word for it though, just deducing from logic!

Well, after installing itunes on my new OS I synced with my iphone...

Note to self - In the future remember to authorize your PC after a format before connecting the phone...

Basically lost all my apps, luckily contacts stayed....

Not fun downloading all the apps again, or these I still remembered...

You should deathourize itunes before format then authorize after, File> Transfer purchases from iphone.

Then when you sync choose merge when requested what should be done with contacts.

That way you don't lose anything.
