AGM sectional title voting

i should of meant to say it is unfair that i pay the same levy
his household kaks 4 times a day, i kak once a day
get my picture?
Are your units the same size? If so than you will pay the same.

yup
it is
still seems unfair
4 times the garbage, 4 times water consumption, 4 times sewerage, etc.
plus my neighbour uses my car park as well, so thats 2 cars out there vs my zero cars
/shrug
:)

I'd raise that at an AGM about the parking, water and sewerage they should be paying for anyway.

Parking can be raised as it is part of section normally. Regarding water and sewerage if its a communal meter, then you should request split meters. You should not be inconvenienced in any way monetarily. Garbage is per household, same as a freehold.

If you don't like communal living, get out or learn to compromise. I hated it, being a chair was worse.

yup split metres is on my list, we only have 12 units here
the monthly renters downstairs are forever watering their lawns and do not give a flying F when told to switch off

Communal water bill? It costs around R2k per meter to split, I would insist on that asap. Also, ask for a breakdown of levy , if they have exclusive use of the garden, they should be paying more in levy and part of that could be to cover water but I would still go separate meters

Split water meters can result in a bit of a nightmare from an administrative side of things. Unless someone is abusing the system it generally costs more depending on number of units and you'll still be charged for water for communal areas still as part of the levy etc.

Correct but admin should be non existent. Meters go direct to muni or do you mean the bc?

Are you in a shared water meter scheme ?else I'm not sure what the issue might be here?

Managing companies love split water bills. They make more money from the BC that way. Meter reading fees etc.

When we looked at this, it's not our management company but whoever installs the individual meters. They all wanted something like a R35 fee per meter per month.

Than they normally get the garden service to read it. So it's basically just in their pocket.
