Air Coolers vs aircon

air is not recycled on whole home systems,its a continuous flow of fresh air ,units can be reversed to work as an extractor .extremely efficient and quite and doors dont have to remain closed .in our area the humidity ave is under 20 % here its perfect but if you have high humidity and add an evaporation unit it gets muggy and hotter .

Never understood why I want to switch on a type of humidifier when it’s unbearably hot.

an aircooler also works well but not as good as a aircon, it is a lot cheaper to get a aircooler and uses less electricity. with this best results are found inland, in costal areas it is not as effective. another advantage is you can keep windows and doors open.

the aircooler basically puts more moisture into the air, it takes the hot air, uses the water to cool down and passis it out the other side, no irritation to eyes etc. an aircon however does not do this and tends to dry out the air giving the dry itchy eyes etc.

Aircon removed moisture from the air, so less dampness etc. Where Air coolers add it.

Best solution?
Isotherm 145mm insulation in the roof. Then install tile floors. Sure winter may be colder but summer better. You also get Cooltech paint for the roof, yet do note that painting a roof white is a very bad idea here. Maybe in Dubai but not here.

If you havent insulated your house, then aircons will waste a lot of energy. You can install the silver foil at the beams, and the isotherm in the roof (its made from plastic bottles so you can lay it yourself, just dont step off your beams when you install it, or you will fall through the ceiling. Leave space for lights.

You can also install shade for the windows so the sun doesnt glare through.

Nah. It works for a dry desert heat outdoors where standing in the shade is not that bad anyways. When the air itself retains heat it’s normally high humidity. Adding more moisture is just a stupid idea.
