@Snyper564, would you say the Breezeless version is worth the price difference on the 2 Midea models?

I have an 18k BTU non-inverter in a small bedroom that actually needs a 9k or 12k BTU unit. That thing suck those hubbles pap in no time.

yup the breeze less also has better efficiency than the slightly cheaper one
 
Ok so the 18K BTU Bosch non-inverter has been replaced by a Midea Extreme R32 12k BTU inverter unit at the holiday home.

Assuming that the price and product description are both accurate, specifically it being an inverter, the only catch is it being Defy..

On Saturday we were in store and they wanted to do several thousand checks when a product on promotion in their catalogue, matching 100% what we took off the shelf, didn't scan at the promotion price and we queried it.. 20 minutes of checking later and still no outcome, we just told them to shove it and left..

Makro has a history of inaccurate pricing, people placing orders which are then cancelled..

This will be for my office at home which is 14 m². I've had the Midea Xtreme at my previous propety and worked great. I see that it has Midea’s PrimeGuard™ Gold Fin that withstands salty air - as I'm at the coast now which is a plus, I think. Dont know if it's standard on all aircons?

I cant see to find anything about the Comfee except that it's part of Alliance and cheeper.

Does anyone have experience with either model? Any tips on reliability, service/parts availability, or efficiency differences between the two would be appreciated. Every drop makes a bucket full, so if the Comfee holds up, I’m happy to save R1,100

Not sure the specific model you are looking at, but we did get a 12k comfee inverter based unit two years ago..

Been fine, little on the noisy side would be my last only real complaint but it's not terribly loud.. I need to add, it's run for about 30 minutes at night during those sweltering CPT summer evenings only, so has not been run very long all together..

It says low noise operation. This is going to be for our bedroom as well.
 
I am getting a 36000btu inverter installed.
This is for a pretty big space.

I am wondering if I should spend R30 000 on an LG or a cheaper R26 000 Alliance .
The LG is 38000 BTU, and Grog said LG is about 5% to 10% more efficient with power usage.

I have no experience with this so I am wondering if the extra R4000 for the LG is worth it.

I had an LG inverter unit in my previous place, it was very quiet and worked well. Cannot comment on Alliance though.
