Aircon insights

Collecting the breezless midea tomorrow hoping to have installed and running within the week :)

Starting off with one and going from there

I got the Samsung wind free, must say it’s quite nice. You don’t get that cold air hitting you, but rather keeps the room cool at the set temperature.

Install happening tomorrow another reason im so glad to get the inverter is that batter is up to 100% midday already so house is gonna be super cool summer!

Quick question, I have a room that the 9000 btu is perfect for. Now the 12000 btu is slightly more expensive is there any reason to forgo the 9k and go 12k btu?
I currently have an 18K in my lounge it’s large and double story which goes into the loft area. We are looking to change that to a 24K btu I have and move the 18K up stairs. I always oversize so the room can be brought to temp fast and maintained. Personally I would have put a 12 in my bedroom if I was you.

I was advised to have them all separate on their own 30a isolater.
A 9K btu inverter aircon pulls barely 1kw. 30a is ridiculous.

My 24K is on a 25a breaker and at full speed it only peaks at 2.2kw.

@soulie would multi Aircons on one circuit breaker fly coc?
Wouldn't advise it, the problem is to handle the load of multiple units running at the same time ,you would need to increase the cable size as well as the circuit breaker size ,remember each unit must have its own isolator at the unit ,and you could install protected socket outlets at each unit ,then the cable size and one big circuit breaker will pass as long as the cable size is suitable for the breaker ,rather run separate if at all possible also makes it easier to disable one circuit if needed .

I have 2 x 24k BTU inverter units each with an isolator at the outdoor units and on their own breaker on the DB, with their own cables pulled to each unit.

They're coming to install tomorrow.

Does it matter if it is over the bed, will it not drip?
How far is the outside unit and can you hear it esp at night?
Yeet!

Drip is outside. Cant hear dead silent. its on my back wall about 5m away from the window but cant hear it
