My wife is 13 weeks along and we experiencing our first heatwave couldn't be happier with the new aircon in.

Blown away by the low power use of the aircon.

Ran it through the night at 21 deg on low as thats sufficient to keep room cold.

Yep. My aircons are on almost 24hrs hours. One in the living room during the day and one in the bedroom the whole night
Very efficient and on my solar system with less $$$$ going to Eskom.

the mind is boggled I have the house running with 5 fridges (micro brewery) and aircon and this is the usage.

I have this big-ish LShape open concept with vaulted (exposed beams) ceiling. And insulation is poor and my one aircon is not covering the whole area. Having a solar system comes with its "drawbacks". You'll buy 1000s aircons and other things because now you can.

I need this additional 18kbtu and two more 12kbtu for the other two bedrooms. Rabbit hole I go.

I might have to do this because the one 18kBTU is covering one side (sitting room). So the 24k will need to cover dining room and kitchen
