Those of you who've played the new AIX mod will agree that it's a spiced up / all action answer to the otherwise tactically brilliant BF2.
The main focus of the game is the new array of airplanes and choppers. Some folk have been complaining about Jets hammering infantry and armor ... AIX's solution, just add more jets! With 4 choppers and 4 jets on an aircraft carrier (and APC's + boats in the launch bay) - as a pilot, you'll be far too preoccupied in the sky by the other 1000 planes to pick off poor ground troops.
They've added a couple of our old favourite guns from Counter Strike to the battlefield, the most expensive fully automatic sniper rifle, the 3shot burst mode Glock ... not to mention the coolest fly on the block ... the BULLPUP! Another cool one is the minigun (from the predator movie) which is given to the support dude for covering fire
... the double zoom barret makes for nice sniping times too!
AT + Eng boys get mortars they can plant and use, spec ops get throw knives, EVERYONE has claymores and/or time delay explosives .. but the best has to be the planes.
The Warthogs (from the transformer movie *no, not the F22 raptors, because that would just be offsides*- the ones with the miniguns infront)
The nighthawk spyplane (same as those b52 stealth bombers)with its laser targeting just looks awesome.
The littlebird choppers are the ones in all the delta force missions u see in movies, with 4 okes standing on the side and strapped in, the 2 man one is also cool with its guns.
The apache = lots of damage and quick firing rockets
I could carry on forever and spoil even more of it, but i'll let you guys go and get it... its a free download of about 1.4GB, but well worth it!
You'll see lots of new maps including familiar ones that are set at night or slightly modified ... It comes with bots and you can conquest/coop as you like !
