There will be no running away from advanced aggresive extraterrestrials, they will simply take us out from orbit if they wish to, however we're such clever little monkey's, my guess is that they would rather enslave us to work for them and make it seem as if though we got a really good deal.

By the time we wake up and start the good fight, there won't be enough raw materials left to build our own starships and thus we'll remain slaves, because rockets ain't taking us any further than the moon. (and we won't be able to follow our masters to their home, loaded with our earthly raw materials, to get revenge)

Oh wait, that's where we are right now, in the slavery era. (unless you keep on working that brain and see if you can manage to gain control of a wormhole in the dimension next door - to escape)
