All things Shelly

@SmartKit - do you know if the Shelly's have IEC 60950 certification? I can't seem to find anything on their website. ICASA certification is mostly a formality, but IEC 60950/62368-1 are the ones speaking about safety.
I'm looking for an alternative the Sonoff-Mini, preferably something that uses 230 V on the external switch interface. As far as I know the Shelly 1 uses 230 V, as opposed the Mini that uses 3.5 V.

You can find the certificate here (it's the test results we're requiring for ICASA): https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct..._Shelly1.pdf&usg=AOvVaw1KoLubTZAA2UeBg4p0W4-P

Thanks, @SmartKit, appreciated.
@ShellySA, it is not the IEC 60950 certificate itself, but it does at least indicate that the devices were tested against 60950. I'll appreciate if you can attach/link what you have here rather than PM - it may give other people more peace of mind regarding the devices' safety as well.

*Edit - the last one is the atcual 60950 certificate. Thanks!

Speaking with @rpm as I can't edit my posts! So I just keep adding to the thread ;-)

Ooo interesting, now shellysa.cloud instead of shellyza.cloud and shellysa.cloud redirects to www.smartkit.co.za :)
I hope this means there are some relationship improvements and a less dodgy Shelly path on the way.

No promises until the ICASA/NRCS processes are completed - we're also hoping our supplier comes right!

LOTs of specials there at the moment. Really tempting, but shipping costs and import taxes aside, I wonder if these will get lost in customs during lockdown.

EDIT: Nevermind, I forgot our currency has tanked by the same amount as the best of those discounts.

Hi, can you perhaps tell me if the dimmer will work with the Sonoff Touch panel?

I'm not sure if I fully understand the compliance situation of Shelly at the moment.

In short: Would an electrician be able to give me a CoC with a Shelly device wired into my lights based on it's current compliance status? And what about Sonoff? The question extends then to what would the insurance have to say

With a sonoff yes, with a Shelly no.

In August 2019 I was in the UK and was able to acquire 3 Shelly 1 switches at the time. Had them lying around until now.

Installed 1st one just now.

There more wires there, because this house have another light switch feeding off this one. Was annoying because the dining lights could only be switched on if the kitchen light is on. So also rectified that little problem when I found the wires at the switch. Saves me another trip into the ceiling.

Must say, very happy with this little guy.
