All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

There was some info about storing energy in a second geyser, which comes in as a much cheaper option ito hardware cost, but then bloody plumbers are soo expensive.
Just can't win.
lol i do that :)
house had 2 geysers but bathrooms were close so didn't make economical sense to use both geysers at the same time so i connected them i series and kept the one off and only used them on days we couldn't stagger our showers.
when i got Solar i put it o a Geyser wise and let them both heat up from around 9 till 1400 - then water stays hot until the next day so geysers don't need to heat up in the evenings

but even with that on most days i still think i can get enough pv to fill up one more battery

Hi all. My sunsynk app is not reporting data anymore...is it linked to the maintenance they mentioned earlier? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Ja, looks like there is maintenance / region shifting going on. Mine went earlier and is back.

Outage was for all of us Region 1's as they move us to the Region 2 side this weekend.

I have no data from 3:25pm yesterday to 10:40pm last night when the App started working.

I also cannot access System Mode settings on the App now. All part of the Region move being in progress until Monday I guess.

Mine not affected (yet).

Damn.... a 2600w kettle...I'd get rid of that sucker on principle.

Did you say you have a 0.5C 5K battery? If so, there's your answer - 2600w is more than 0.5C on it's own - add the 200w and you're sitting at 2800w

Recently got a Smeg kettle and the power draw seems to go to 5000w, is this possible ? Deye Inverter triped so not just the kettle can cause this unless the power draw was really that high

My smeg draws around 2000-2200w...never higher.
Either you have other heavy loads or your kettle is faulty

Out of interest, who else sees LED globe flickering?

All the 3 watt down lighters are perfect, but I noticed the 8 watt outside Osram downlighters can sometimes flicker from when an appliance turns on.

One of the 3w globes fused in the kitchen, so I upgraded all 4 kitchen globes to 7w globes and now they are doing the same flicker.

It's strange that the 3w are unaffected or, that the stronger LED globes are affected.

Is this just an inverter normality?

When my 3d printer is running and its loadshedding the SSR on it makes a bunch of my LED globes flicker. Its fine when the grid is available.
Ive heard its an issue with some power supplies as well.

Good luck with the SMEG kettle, if ever there ís a poor quality product this unfortunately is it.

No it is not normal. The two most common causes are either poor quality LEDs or there is an issue with your wireing, normally related to the earth neutral bond.

My system just went offline in Region 1 and was added and is alive in Region 2 (I had an account in both regions - mine was in region 1 while my in laws and folks are in my region 2 account).

Looks like they are moving region 1's to region 2 today as was planned. All my historical data is gone, so I quickly took screenshots to save in case there are any issues with their data transfers over the next 1-4 weeks.

My data is gone, but I only have an account in Region 1. If I try and log on to Region 2, it says incorrect username. Are they transferring accounts or do I have to have a new account created?

From what I saw in Joel's Facebook post, it should be a case of using your region 1 credentials for region 2. Did you have any uppercase letters in your region 1 email? If yes, try lowercase as that change was mentioned
