All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

I finally have an authoritative answer for one of the most oft asked questions. I borrowed an spl meter and can confirm that fan noise of my 8kW Deye is 75dB adjacent to the fans, and this drops off to 60dB at 1m.

I have a problem with my Sunsynk data logger reporting only very sporadically over the last three weeks or so. Even when I can see the device on the network, I usually don't get any information from the app or the website. It will report a couple of times a day without any kind of intervention, but then it just seems to go offline for no reason. I thought it might be the Sunsynk servers but this has been going on way too long.

I thought I'd go through the setup process again but I don't see the "EAP-XXXX" connection when I do a wifi search. Any bright ideas from anyone on what might be wrong and what I can do to fix it?
Pull it out and plug back in, this should prompt the hotspot to come on?
Hows the wifi signal there?

I like this
That is very nice yes

That should work. The signal is fair, not great but I haven't had an issue for the 9 months before that since installation.

OK, so next step is to determine why the BMS is limiting you to 10A. Your dealer / installer may have more info on this.

Thanks for the guidance - I will reach out to them tomorrow. Since they’ve not been incredibly responsive to my first questions, I’m hoping that a direct question will get better results.

Why is it set to 105 Ah when it’s clearly a 100 Ah battery?

Bear in mind during load shedding you have a maximum of 4.8 kW you can discharge…which is incredibly high for a single battery mind you.

All the settings are still as set by the installer, and this is the first time I went digging in the menus. Unfortunately I don’t know - I would like to assume that they had a good reason, but after this weekend I have my doubts.

That seems very wrong and I would think will throw out pretty much everything.

So I would start by fixing that as something obviously wrong before checking anything else.

I’ve noticed with my system that the pv input will only ever match the load and doesn’t show the total output. Is this normal and is there a way to get it to show the total generation even if it’s not used?

Does solarassistant store usage data locally, or in the cloud?

Finding solarman keeps having more frequent data drops - probably Afrihost shitty internet - which I'm hoping to avoid with solarassistant.

If you do not export that will be all you can get.

Potential output isn't shown.

Guys, I decided that my SunSynk needs more panels. They just arrived....

Put one of these 120 footers in your back yard.

OK which one of you has bought all the surge arrestors??? I can't find a single stockist unless you want to pay double the price at ABB for a beny 40/2.

For some reason loading Solar Assistant directly is slow for me. Loading from their website is ok, connecting directly to the pi with its IP address is slower. I don't know if the Orange Pi they sold has a resource bottleneck?

However, the MQTT data going to Home Assistant has zero issues so you will have all the data available there as well.

I'm still trying to find me AWOL Pi3 - otherwise I'll probably use a Zero W.

I ideally want the Pi3 as I already have a network point in the garage for my cameras

I find restarting mine fixes these types of issues

Thanks, did a restart last week due to networking issues. The top section with the current values load quickly, the graphs take a bit longer to load. Not sure if that is normal?
