All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

When you say "response time up", do you mean that it updates quicker?

If so, someone earlier showed me how to do it.

Fill in the details under "User Level Access Change".

It took about a week for them to respond.

Once you get the confirmation that you have advance user access, then on the Sunsynk Connect Web Version, do the following:

  • Click on "Equipment" on the left panel
  • Click on "Gateway" on the left panel
  • New Screen should load and in the block on the page, you should see your dongle serial number - and the far right you'll see a yellow block with three white dots - click on this and click "settings"
  • A block will pop-up and that says "Data Interval" - you can select 60s (that's the quickest option they offer currently).
Thanks for the detailed response, I will ask the installer that already has advanced access to change it for me
 
The behaviour sounds similiar to whem my power consumption goes over the limit during load shedding - where are you checking for the errors?
I check under -> Cog -> Device Info

List of Alarms shows up.

I will be noting the Firmware Version going forward
 
So my panels got connected this morning, 2 strings, and it's been working really well, being able to drive the load all morning with lots going to waste, actually.

It looks like the moment the power dropped for loadshedding, instead of continuing on the panels, it switched over to battery. Is this normal? I was expecting it to keep using the panels? Something I can change? (Sunsynk)

It should have continued using the panels, with excess going to the batteries. You can maybe check that you have selected the priority load option

Thanks, it wasn't checked, but also didn't make a difference. I'll monitor tomorrow and if it happens again at the exact time as a loadshedding slot I'll get the installer back.

Are you sure you had enough sun at that moment?

It did turn a little overcast, but the voltages are still ~ 180V. The amps dropped to almost zero, though, on both strings.

So either the overcast had a massive impact, but I can't see how it can drop from 2 KW to 18 W the exact moment the power goes out.

I'll keep an eye and see if it perhaps increases if the sun pops out again, and I'll monitor to see if anything changes when the power comes back on. It might have been a coincidence.

Edit: It was a coincidence that it dropped the same moment the power went out. Phew. It started climbing again. My goodness, a little bit of overcast can drop the produce to almost nothing? Lesson learned on day 1 of panels connected...

Overcast shouldn't drop it to almost nothing unless there's also rain. I was hitting around 1 kW this morning with the cloud cover...

That's why I thought it might have been a setting at first. The timing was just too perfect and yesterday when they connected one string late in the afternoon I was still able to get ~ 480w for about 30 mins, later than now with worse and more rainy weather than now.

Anyway, now I know...
 
It's been a while but finally my second 5.5 Sunsynk and FW 10/8 has been connected. I've been sitting on the stock for almost 3 months waiting for an installer with the time to do the job.

Load shedding... I turned on 2x 3kw geysers, electric oven, 2.2kw kettle and each inverter pushed out around 5kw without missing a beat.

Depends on the cloud cover and azimuth of the panels. It needn't be dark for production to be low.

just ensure your firmware is the same (or as close) on both - i had some weird things going on with mismatched FW

Yes, both inverters and batteries on the same firmware except for the slave firmware on the inverters (confirmed with Sunsynk that that's OK since the older unit can't go higher on the slave firmware).
 
My solar performance has been dismal lately - far of estimates from both solcast and what-ever home-assistant uses (around 1/3). Almost ready to get on the roof and see if the panels are still all there :ROFL: .

Same. My side of the EC has had a lot of overcast weather.

Its downhill until at least the 23rd of June then it gets better
 
Think I have my azimuth values wrong.

How do you calculate them if your looking at a photo from above:? (roof angles down to the right by about 3 degrees)
