All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

That is weird. I have no gap in data, my system has been on since 1 march. Didn't look back further

Our system has been operational since 06/12/2022 and I have zero data available before the 07/07/2023...

Total PV generation is a mess, with just less than 5MWh simply missing from the Overview numbers but is there in the Equipment > Output numbers.

Solar newbie here, Good Day, we have recently installed a 5kw Sunsynk system, in our office for Lights, plugs for computers. We have noticed that at certain times the Plugs switch off and then on again, but it does not do that to the lights. When the plugs switch off the computers UPS takes over, for the split second that the system fluctuates, but that causes us to lose our network connectivity which means a complete reboot. This happens mostly when the grid electricity is offline

How sure are you it's not just intermittent WiFi from your dongle? How good is signal where it is?

Mine also went down between 13:15 up to 14:30. Data missing between those two points. Not a train smash, but like @acp mentioned over time it can become an issue, especially that last outage which lasted nearly a whole day. For me, I don't believe wi-fi is the issue, as my phone and laptop was connected the whole time during the outage, and the inverter is literally 7 steps away from where my wi-fi router is located. Excellent wi-fi in my garage. This only seems to be happening more frequently within the last few weeks. Hopefully it's just the new servers or whatever at SunSynk aligning their chakras. If it happens more frequently over the next few months, I might have to look at something like Solar Assistant for a future project.

100% sure. When these issues occur, the dongle's green light is on like it always is indicating that the connection is fine.

There's also a WiFi IP camera right next to the inverter setup working off exactly the same AP, recording to the DVR elsewhere on the LAN in 1080p, seamlessly, while these SS data logging issues occur.

Almost a year with exactly the same setup and no data/logging issues until the SS started their "Region Moves".

EDIT:
I just remembered that prior to Region Moves, there were a few full days with partial data loss i.e. most logged, but PV total for the day disappears or both PV and import values disappear, and only a few days after. However, these would still reflect in totals accumulated under the equipment/reporting tab's. (weird)

The more recent issues seem to result in zero data logged of any kind, anywhere while these periodic stages of radio silence happen.

I believe there are multiple data centers / servers with the Sunsynk system... sounds like an outage at one center perhaps, hence it not affecting everyone.

Well, if it is only the plugs that switch off, it cannot be the inverter or the battery. It would be better to get in an electrician with experience in inverter installs to come and assist you to find the cause. Use a certified electrician. Most solar/inverter installers are not certified electricians.

5kw Sunsynk, but what battery? What is the current draw like when that happens? Are there any errors reported on the Sunsynk control panel?

Does this happen only when the grid goes down/comes up or randomly when the inverter is running off the battery(ies)? There is a transfer time of <=10ms - some UPSes and electronic components are more sensitive and could be affected by the transfer time - I know this since my UPSes at home go on battery then back online when loadshedding starts/stops - this is on my 8kW Sunsynk.

Sunsynk really dropping the ball this app of theirs. Yesterday offline for an hour or 2 with no data reflecting.

Today it shows the power flow and data on the graph, but nothing under "Generation purpose" at all.
The app shows nothing generated today at all whilst I'm using solar and the inverter reflects it correctly.
This will unfortunately mess up one's ROI data. Very irritating.

Yep, same here, numpties...

Can see the daily PV total in the equipment tab though...
