What are you guys running your batteries down to overnight? I've set mine to draw from grid at 30%.
I have set mine to 30%. Inverter shutdown is set to 20%. That leaves me with a 10% buffer in case loadshedding hits.

For instance, here is my last 24 hours. There was load shedding at 8 this morning and it was cloudy. Thankfully it wasn't that cloudy and was able to start producing more than I was using, but if it was really cloudy then I would have eaten more into the battery.

There was an app update last night. And seems like there was an outage at the same time.

Data missing from midnight up to 1:10am.
Grid notifications still not working and on my S23 Ultra, notifications are blocked and I cannot slide the toggle to unblock them. Never seen that on an App before.

22% so that there is a small buffer to my 20% shutdown value. I have seen it drop to 21% before. 3x Hubble AM-2's

Same - I also stick to 30 percent

I have 3 batteries so that means that each battery runs down to around 10 percent.

Edit: see below - the math here is wrong - each battery doesn't go down to 10, each battery is 30 percent

Mine is set to 20% before grid kicks in. But since adding the 3rd battery (SunSynk batteries), it never reaches 20%. Lowest batteries have ever gotten one morning was 35%. Other than that before the sun starts kicking it, the batteries are usually between around 45% to 55%.

Noticed this as well within the last few weeks. I no longer receive notifications when the grid disconnects or reconnects. I used to get those notifications all the time, but they stopped when all these server outages started occurring more frequently.

On my phone app, it also shows that all notifications are blocked. And there is no way to set All notifications to on. SunSynk must have blocked this from their side for some reason?

I still get some notifications on the web app though, but would prefer them to appear on my phone.

I have 4x pylontechs.

Should one drain them as much as possible over night or keep them as close to 100% as possible?

Purely from a longevity perspective that is, not cost

My understanding is that one should keep them between 10 and 90 percent. If you have more than 1 battery, you should regularly (1 every two weeks or so) charge them to 100 percent in order to ensure that the batteries remain balanced.

Based on months of reading online but no idea whether that's a definitive answer.

This math seems wrong to me.

30% SOC on the inverter means you have 30% left of your total battery bank, therefore if your batteries are balanced, each battery will have 30% left.

Let me check my working:

3x 5kwh batteries = 15kwh

30% remaining of 15kwh = 4.5kwh

4.5kwh divided by 3x 5kwh batteries = 1.5kwh left in each

1.5kwh out of a total 5kwh per battery = 30% per battery remaining.

I stand by my opinion.

that's what I thought too when I originally set the SOC on the inverter to 10 percent.

I then had an occasion where it ran down to 10 percent but 1 of the batteries ran completely flat soon after the overall charge dipped below 10 - which, in my (probably addled brain) translated into "oh...so each battery was not at 10 percent, they were actually at 3.33 percent and 1 of them ran out sooner than the other 2". So then I set the thing at 30 percent and haven't gone below that since.

I would LOVE to be wrong so that I can squeeze more out of my battery use and set the overall back to 10 percent ie 10 percent remaining in each battery.

Edit: Your math is correct - the conceptual problem here is the percentages don't 'account for' the reality that the 'raw' value is what counts, not the percentage ie if you run the batteries down to 10 percent, you only have 500kwh left in each battery and that's pretty easy to "use up" if your batteries are even slightly unbalanced.

Never had an issue taking my 3x AM-2's down to 22%
 
I have settings to drop down to 30% by 6AM, then a small slot to 10AM for 25% which i adjust manually higher if high stage loadshedding AND heavy cloud cover in the morning. If i'm lazy to monitor then i just set this to 30% also for ease. Battery shutdown is 20%, which i think is recommended for the SS batteries to get to 6000 cycles.
Most days don't hit the 30%, but if a geyser run is needed early AM or late PM then it hits 30%, and i don't like using grid once the sun is out so battery+solar handle the load and it rarely drops below 27% thereafter.
