All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

Yasis, this Sunsynk server seems to always have issues recently.

Are there any other simple alternatives? Don't want to buy a Pi etc

Still trying to accept the pathetic 10 min refresh intervals, but the app/platform not working at all, this often, surely cannot be acceptable by any means?

Also not that keen (yet?) on extra cost/effort for pies/pastries/whatever...

I've been riding the wave and tried to just let these outages go, but this latest one, along with the 10 min updates (if and when its actually working) has sent me over the edge.

RPi will be on order tonight and I'll make the transition to Solar Assistant. My suspicion is the Sunsynk App won't get better anytime soon.

I use the DeyeSolarDesktop with the adapter which works pretty well. Just an alternative if you are looking around

So glad I setup Solar Assistant to largely avoid the SunSynk issues, they did manage to cock up the time sync'd to my inverter though, so I have corrected it and unticked the sync option.

:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Was away from home and noticed that my grid power was way higher, assumed it was weather related.

Yeah...somehow one entire string stopped producing. Installer coming out tomorrow to see what's going on.

Basically 2 weeks of halved production.

I have a Rpi3 lying around somewhere, definitely going to look for it and consider getting solar assistant after payday.

Home Assistant is free- you can download it and use it with no payments

Solar Assistant is the paid app

Have the updates always been 10 mins apart or were they shorter intervals at one time?

You should be using 5 minute intervals with a Deye/Sunsynk.

Mine come in at 10 minutes apart (actually 10 mins, 10 seconds).

Just trying to remember whether they were shorter when I got my sunsynk in Sep 2023.

Sunsynk app limits you to 10 minutes, but you can use SolarmanPV to get 5 minute intervals. However that probably requires you to buy the Solarman dongle. You'd have to sacrifice some configurability though with Solarman, but 5 minutes refresh rate is a big plus.
