Alternative Cryptocurrencies (General Discussion & Trading)

:)

Where possible, use ETH. Transactions are cheaper and quicker.
Use coinmarketcap.com as your starting point - look something up, check out the social tab, go to their website, see how active their reddit is etc.

Good luck with it.
True but acquiring ETH in SA (on Luno) can be quite costly as you can't control prices.

Why is there no eth/zar trading pair on Luno. Only eth\btc.
Is there a reason for Luno doimg this.

But btc/zar trading pair there is.

So that they can charge fees twice

Yo peeps it's me, your friendly ****coin extraordinaire. Wanted to give an update on my holdings. Haven't been doing much trading lately, just sitting comfy for the time being.

  • ASTRO - perfect for lazy investors like me. Next dividend payout March 31st
  • BitShares (BTS) - what can I say, got shilled by evander hollifield
  • Request network (REQ) - "Paypal 2.0". mainnet release Q1 this year
  • SONM - just watch the video. This is outpacing Golem Network Token at a fraction of the mcap and supply
  • BlockArray (ARY) - the American VeChain/WaltonChain, Kucoin listing before Jan 31st
  • Trinity Network Credit (TNC) - These guys occupy the same building as NEO's team. Announcement happening next week at DevCon
  • FunFair (FUN) - After the ICE convention on feb 6th this will explode imo
  • Embers (MBRS) - seems like a waste of time
  • DENT - working product on iOs, android release (end feb) will be huge for this

Anybody else holding any of these?

SONM
FunFair

Anybody else holding any of these?
Hold these two.

SONM is probably one of the most undervalued crypto projects right now. I know people throw the term 'undervalued' around a lot, but with the amount of development they do, constant updates to their website and blog, and obviously a working testnet of their actual product that's already performing distributed computing tasks...they are one of the few projects bringing real utility to the table right now.

SONM (SNM)
Status (SNT)
Syscoin (SYS)
FunFair (FUN)
Digibyte (DGB)
CryptoInsight (TKR)
Electroneum (ETN)
Jetcoin (JET)

And a few smaller projects & random coins.

I'm going to get back into trading more actively in the next month or two - life just been a bit busy lately. Need to spend some time trawling forums & websites seeing what's new. Be cool to see how Blockarray does over the coming months and how long it takes them to get their platform operational. They seem like cool people. Was going to invest pre-ico but their minimum buy amount was a bit too high for me. You bought on exchange or ICO?

You bought on exchange or ICO?

ICO. It nearly hit ico price after listing on ED/IDEX due to price manipulation and a loooooot of FUD. Doing ok now though, and once it hits kucoin it should go up nicely. Later in the year I reckon it will be worth quite a bit.

Sam is a boss, I heard he's getting a haircut

Got into OriginTrail (TRAC) when it started trading on ED (25th). Going up nicely at the moment

Also got into Origin Trail reasonably early, as well as Aurora DOA at $0.09.

Please help a brother out - between BTC and ETH, which is the better option right now to move from Luno to another exchange (cost-wise)?
