In short, no. If you think cat nonsense is bad? Wait until other corporations start doing the same.

I have played around with Bitshares Open Ledger DEX

I was not expecting so many features from a DEX at this stage, it is fast and have low fees. I'm switching to it except when trading pairs are not available.

Which other DEX's are showing potential ? I checked out Bridgecoin briefly but can't see what they are trying to do apart from having their own staking coin (BCO). They say they will be more decentralized than Bitshares Open Ledger, but are using the bitshares ecosystem and have the same witnesses.

Solaris XLR Feedback

Price increased from $1.07 to $1.7 from when I started about 3 weeks ago. As of yet it is only listed on one exchange and may gain traction when released on other exchanges.

Masternode costs 1000 coins and is currently staking about 3.1 XLR per day. Master Nodes are being added at a faster rate than other similar coins as far as I can see.

XRP is not really doing much, especially after buying in at what seems like an all time high of R4.40 :crylaugh:

received this in the mail:
Electroneum Update

Hi Everyone!

I have some GREAT NEWS for everyone!

HackerOne are drawing to a close on their Private Challenge and not one bit of private data has been compromised or accessed by their team of awesome hackers!

They found a handful of little bugs, but did not gain access to private keys, wallets, user data or anything scary. That is a HUGE relief for all of us.

The HackerOne Challenge officially finishes on Monday and we are now rolling out the last of these little bug fixes and we will be launching (ahem!, cough! RE-launching) Electroneum by the middle of next week!

We have not been idle while HackerOne were busy, we've made improvements to the look, feel and functionality of the website wallet system (which will enable iPhone users to make transfers until the iOS app is launched) and the Android app, and we've been contacting hundreds of potential partners to ensure we have some joint ventures already negotiated for once we are up and running. Hopefully by the time we launch next week, we will have something signed and have our first public partnership(s) in place.

I'd like to thank everyone for their patience, after seeing NiceHash hacked for $64m USD just yesterday, I was glad we made the tough decision to engage HackerOne.

Have a great weekend everyone, we'll be working straight through to ensure everything goes according to plan THIS TIME!

ETN price is currently about 10x at price I bought into ICO. Feel a bit silly as I easily mined a considerable fraction (for about 4 days) of the investment soon after the ICO [and stopped], anyway, to dump or to hodl ??? ETN does not seem cutting edge as far as underlying technology goes, but their strong points seem to be their marketing, planning (despite the hickups) and business savvy which may just prove more important...

A bit late to the ETN party, but I've done some reading, and it sounds a bit suspect. I mean, they release a mobile miner :)crylaugh:), which apparently doesn't actually mine, it simulates mining. :erm:

Then they have this photo of a dude in a crypto mining farm vs a guy lounging on a couch smiling at his mobile, apparently mining ETN :crylaugh:

And now, the app isn't even available. What is up here?

The mobile mining is a way to introduce people to the concept of crypto. They were clear from the start that the mobile mining isn't real. Once people see what it's about they can download the desktop client and start mining properly.

A brief history:

They were originally creating their own blockchain.
Last minute security issues */cough* meant they had to abandon and fork off of Monero.
Security issues also meant they submitted to a lengthy audit by Hackerone, hence no wallets.

Basically they're just another forked coin right now, but if they go through with the kind of marketing they originally said they would - it could be quite big.

What a ridiculously stupid and deceptive way of marketing their coin  On no, they were not really clear. You probably have to read some T&C's to realize the miner is just a fake app.
