Alternative Cryptocurrencies (General Discussion & Trading)

I would, too, but as the old investment tip goes: don't ever invest more than you can afford to lose.

At this rate, even if it just breaks £100/coin in the future, I'll be more than happy.

Yeah, don't have anymore play money and life just punched me in the throat so.. will have to wait and hope it drops in Jan so I can get in.

100. See it hitting $100 in 2018. 100*100. Easiest R100k you'll ever make :p
Ok thanks, just wanted some perspective as I have 800 xrp and was wondering what others deemed as a good amount.

At the current price, anything over 100 is golden methinks.
Have 120 (converted the BTC I'd mined earlier in the year on Binance), so if it takes off 2018 should be good. But 800 is damned tasty amount if you ask me.

I thought about it a lot before buying, but I reckon the altcoins may be the way to go in the longer run as crypto slowly replaces real money. So may as well get on board with the smaller coins with a high market cap.

Yep! Exactly my plan at the moment.
Hold until I’m 40 and buy a Lamborghini lol

When speculating on a future price for Ripple, bear in mind there are just under 39 billion of them. A $100 price for XRP would mean a market cap of $3.9T, which is, er, unlikely. The most valuable company in history, the VOC, had a market cap of $7.6T, back in the 18th C. We just haven't seen those sorts of market caps in centuries.

Bought some ASTRO a few days ago thanks to some shilling on /biz/, they invest in upcoming ICO's then pay quarterly dividends to ASTRO token holders based on the returns. Anyways they paid the first dividends yesterday and to my surprise it was nearly 50% of my stack. Not exactly lambo territory but it has now become my best-performing coin having nearly doubled in price already

I bought 0.3 Eth of Artis Turba coins a while back in the ICO and now also received 5,000 free for liking and sharing their Facebook page, got to hear about it on the Telegram Group. Now got my wife and friends to join in as well.

Thank goodness I registered at Bitfenix before the hype and forgot about my account there with them.

Still a lovely exchange with a very large selection of coins.

I have an account there but not used it yet. Do I still need to go through the verification, as it seems that's only for cash withdrawls.
My intention is to send BTC there from Luno and trade altcoins.

If I need to cash some out I will just transfer back to Luno where I am verified.

FOMO purchased 165 ripples today on ACT :p

It’s annoying that I remember telling my buddy a month ago that we should buy some
