Alternative Cryptocurrencies (General Discussion & Trading)

FunFair getting itself out of that hole at last.

Nice volume the past few days, price is up and they have a team that seems to have some good connections in the casino industry.
Nice review here: https://www.reddit.com/r/FunfairTech/comments/7mr3bu/funfair_a_game_changer_for_2018_an_indepth/?st=jbuoldr4&sh=ebda1443

The charts...maybe a bit of pullback at marker A, but I'm not trading there...will possibly see what happens at marker B when it's hits ATH (BTC) and sees a deeper pullback - might sell and buy back in if there's the potential for a 15-20% pullback. Else just holding until this sees real-world adoption.

Despite bitcoin tanking a bit nearly everything in my portfolio is up today, made some sweet dolla in my sleep last night, hoping this trend continues.

Main winners are definitely FUN and KIN (Why KIN is mooning I have no idea, it's worth so little but I have near tripled my investment), wonder what the potential of FUN is? Bought in at $.06 but won't sell until at least late next year

The entire point of a cryptocurrency is that it is decentralised, not to be an early adopter and get rich. With Ripple your money is entirely controlled by the company, Ripple and the banks and governments who choose to adopt it. It's a good tech for helping banks, not the individual.

There is no decentralized blockchain. You can't use public and private keys to safeguard your identity. The value of Ripple can be manipulated any time by Ripple (the company) since they own 2/3rds of the token which they have not even issued. It's not even designed to be a cryptocurrency. It's a financial technology to help banks. In the long run something like Ripple could take away any potential we have now for decentralizing the financial system so that our governements and banks are not in control of our wealth.

Yes and local exchanges even a small tome dealer if.you try and sell the price dips heft at times

Just not en onough volume in SA

Hey another FUN holder :).
Late 2018 / early 2019 is when they should start seeing actual use-cases of their platform...when that happens those tokens should increase in value very quick.
See you on the other side.

Out of interest what else do you own? Show me yours if I show you mine? :p 1514725435086.jpg
Not shown due to space: TRX which has done absolutely nothing since I bought it

Can't believe that Fidget has been the top coin to mine intermittently for the past 24 hours... I mean... really...

Anyone here into RaiBlocks? It has been doing well the past few weeks, and I have high hopes for their tech. Instant, free transactions with a tested throughput of 7000 tps looks promising.

Nothing wrong with ATC...
I just prefer using international exchanges.
I prefer their chart layouts and they have extremely active social media alerting about updates and issues. ACT last twitter update was in Oct. Also much higher trading volume on international exchanges.

I currently use Luno to buy and sell BTC and Etherium. I want to purchase some of the other crypto currencies mentioned in this thread, what is the best, well priced and relatively easy to use exchange out there?

If you're buying on Luno and want to trade on exchanges that don't require verification - I list a few in a video in my sig. Binance, Hitbtc, cryptopia, kucoin are all good. If you don't mind verifying then Bittrex, Poloniex are good. Picking an exchange with a lot of volume is a good place to start.

Thanks, will take a look at the video. I have no issues verifying my details, so will take a look at all.
Do all the above have decent volumes? My only indication of volume at the moment is BTC on Luno.

Bittrex probably has the most, but I have a sneaking suspicion they're closed to new registrations...seems to be the case with a lot of exchanges right now. Binance will probably have the most volume of the sites that don't require verification. In my sig - 'Where Do I Buy It' covers exchange volume very briefly. Use coinmarketcap.com to find your coin then see which exchange has the most volume (it's all listed in USD).

Sure but he just wants XRP...
How does that change anything?
Trading volume alone is a good enough reason to trade elsewhere as orders are more likely to get filled. Unless you just want to go in and pay the asking price then sure - go wherever.
