Alternative Cryptocurrencies (General Discussion & Trading)

Apparently Binance is having trouble dealing with 100 000 new registrations per day, I questioned the validity of the statement and it turns out at times they have up to 250 000 registrations per day.

Which is why they have disabled new registrations

Sorry but question still remains.. What's the best android app for trading altcoins?

Binance is no longer am option, Kucoin says only for view and cryptopia is too complex.

I don't know, but further back in this thread somebody mentioned an app that uses the API of some exchange and thus convenient for trading.

Yup, been trying since the 4th and they've put a hard block on it.

Registrations Pause
Fellow Binancians,
Due to the overwhelming surge in popularity, Binance will have to temporarily disable new user registrations to allow for an infrastructure upgrade. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your support!

There's no such thing as a universal trading app.

You either have an exchange (like Binance) that offers it's own android app, or you use a service that plugs into the API's of various exchanges and they maybe have an android app (I wouldn't recommend this).

Rather pick and exchange that's reputable and has decent volume than trying to find the one with an android app.

Siacoin up nicely today.. Roughly 1000% since I bought in. :D

Those are rookie numbers, you gotta get those numbers up! Lol just kidding, nicely done dude. I want some but it's not on any exchanges I use currently

I tried to get a binance account but they don't do signups anymore.

Using luno , gatehub and poloniex. I'm registered at a few more, but don't enjoy them. Poloniex has been pretty good with buying and transferring coins so far. Only used it today, but seems ok.

They even warn you that there's a fake mobile app out there doing the rounds.

That being said, I'm thinking of only buying coins that are supported by my Ledger Nano S so that I can pull all my coins from each exchange and just sit on them. Problem is that it doesn't support Ripple yet. EDIT: Scratch that, it's been updated to accept it. Still no sia or doge.

Ledger dont support ripple you sure?

The website shows Ripple under "companion apps" and "intergrations". I was wondering what those mean because I want to buy a Ledger end of this month

If you do buy one, please don't get one from eBay.

"If this image looks familiar then you should transfer your money out of your ledger immediately."

Your ledger will NEVER show your 24-word phrase anywhere BUT on the device itself. This was a nice fake and someone recently lost £25k because of it.

Thanks

I am planning to get it from them directly (the link I posted above. The price is listed as 79 pounds. Works out to around R1300 with shipping to SA.

I brought my ledger directly from them the price difference between other shops selling it and buying direct for me was R100. I did not want to take the risk of someone possibly having a backdoor or something to my ledger.

Guys buy directly from Ledger the extra cost might save you one day.
