Alternative to Telkom

I know probably discussed before, but is there any other way to get ADSL by means of a complete package in terms of voice line, adsl and uncapped data through a different ISP?Or is one bound to get the voice line through Telkom only?

Can one get somebody advise on good deals. Im struggling to get started with an ADSL setup. My gripe is that im never ever and i mean really im not going to make use of the voice portion, so i just dont understand, well i do understand that its a requirement, but im just not thrilled with it.

Unfortunately you have to get a voice line through Telkom and it has to be through Telkom.

Most of us here don't make use of the voice line but it is still a requirement and a way for Telkom to make extra money.
You can get your ADSL line through your ISP although unless it is VDSL through Vox, IMO it is not worth the savings for the troubles you may run into later down the line when you are experiencing issues with your line

Telkom love to play the "blame the ISP" game.
