AlwaysOn Wi-Fi calling is cheaper than reported

Somehow I can never get onto these wifi networks so I just give up. Surely it must be simple to connect without having to give credentials all the time. Maybe I am missing something or I am just technologically challenged. Either way I know whatapp:)

Hahaha it's not a free service. You get directed to a landing page. Unless you buy a Samsung phone and download.

Whatdat?

OT: These marketers specialise in being clear as mud about their product!
  1. Does the price include the data cost?
  2. What does "do nothing mean"?
  3. How will you be sure you are using the wifi network and not cellular?
  4. With an app "running in the backgroud" how do you know it is functioning?

You do need to have a browser open (for the free service) but your details get stored after you log on the first time so it's easier after that.
